In March 2021, based in Kansas would purchase the former Sears building on the South Side Mall and transform the facility into a fitness and athletics complex. The space has been vacant since Sears closed its store and auto center in August 2016.
The permits include those for 19 new commercial projects in the 14 jurisdictions surveyed by the Business Register.
